Unfortunately I can't make it. I made the Alabama trip, went to the Texas game, and got to go to the Big 12 championship. I could have gotten a ticket but by the time I confirmed with my "hookup" he had promised the ticket to someone else. I was thinking about driving down and see if I could get a ticket outside the stadium - but since we're playing you guys the tickets will probably be too expensive and hard to come by.

Bummer! We'll drink a few for you. Of course, our drinking will be in celebration while yours would have been in sorrow... ;)

Last time the Sugar Bowl ws for the national title, they opened up New Orleans Arena (next door to the Dome) for the spillover crowd and showed the game on huge screens. Something to keep in mind if you want to be there for the party.

Also, there's a thread (I think in the Round Table forum) about tailgating at the Dome, and it includes restaurant recommendations from around the city.

That's a good idea. I hope they do that. Of course last time, New Orleans was still in NBA absentia. I wonder if the Hornets have a say in this? They should be able to pull it off.
