I completely understand and agree with the argument about if you don't win your conference then you don't play for the national title.

Sorry, I hit the keyboard and sent the message before I was done.

I completely understand and agree with the argument about if you don't win your conference then you don't play for the national title.

However. Under the CURRENT BCS system Oklahoma was told that no matter what, win or lose the Big X11 title and you're still in.

OU (Bob Stoops) won't admit this but it did affect their play. I blame the BCS not Oklahoma.

What do you think would have happened to us if going in against Georgia for the SEC title we were told it didn't matter? We'd play for the NC no matter what.
I guarantee it would have been different. Don't get me wrong.....I believe LSU is much better than Georgia but we had something to prove Saturday night. OU didn't.

(By the way I'm from Shreveport and a lifelong Tiger fan. I'm not an OU fan sneaking in on the board to tout
    Okahoma's cause)

I guarantee if OU had been told at the beginning of the year if you don't win your conference championship game you don't play for the title, there would be crime scene tape surrounding that entire stadium there in Kansas. Not to take away from K State but I believe Oklahoma would have destroyed them.

Oklahoma is not invincible. Plain and simple. They are human, they are good, they are not unbeatable. They walked into Kansas City believing the hype that no one could beat them and they walked out with their asses in their hands.
