Mathieu is just a ball hawk. He knows where it is and he is there. Usually, taking it from whoever has it. An amazing talent!!!!
From NOLA.com Special Teams Play of the Game Mathieu made the kind of play he's become famous for. He was playing the right gunner, but lined up tight in the formation. Punter Brad Wing nailed a high 53-yarder that Kenjon Barner caught on the 10 and tried a spin move to his left after starting right. Mathieu blew past a blocker and got to Barner faster than he expected, wrapping his arms around him and knocking the ball out of his hands. When Mathieu turned the ball had bounced up to him as if it were a basketball bounce pass. He hardly had to move to score his first career touchdown.
