Congrats miles you just got your a$$ kicked by a team that lost to Toledo of all teams. Had a player who had the heisman in his closet and has still found a way to blow the season to hell. People say "we still have something to play for". They are on drugs. We have a team with an 1980s offense mindset. A weak defense and a horrible special teams. It is time to start over. I will take the year but how many times are we going to have this song and dance and keep miles? Time to go les find someone else's team to ruin. At least maybe we can move the gumps up to the 2nd game so when we blow that game and fold the rest of the year miles will finally get his pink slip. I am sure I am not the only one tired of this shit.
Miles is a great man, but I can't stand him as our coach. I hope he retires because he's never going to get fired any time soon. I'm ready to blow it up and start from scratch. Everyone always says 'well who do you want to replace him' (which is a loaded question anyway because no matter what you answer, it's going to be criticized, but I'll give you a couple of realistic names: Tom Herman - current head coach of Houston. He was Ohio St. offensive coordinator/QB coach last year when they beat Bama and Oregon to win the national championship. His strengths are QB development (think Braxton Miller, JT Barrett, and Cardell Jones) and recruiting. Justin Fuente - current head coach of Memphis Tigers. He is former offensive coordinator of TCU and developed QBs Paxton Lynch (current Memphis QB) Andy Dalton and Casey Paschall. His strengths are also recruiting and QB development. Other names that are more of a stretch: Chris Petersen (former Boise St, current Washington Husky head coach, but doubtful to leave West Coast), Kyle Whittingham (current Utah coach) and Art Briles. I admit, these guys in all likelyhood would not leave there current positions, but it wouldn't hurt to gauge their interest. I already know someone is going to talk shit about these names, so save your breath unless your willing to list someone better. And I said 'better', so that excludes Miles right off the bat.
I agree Miles is a great man but a bad coach. He won't retire because he thinks he's doing a good job. He's completely clueless.
I hate to say it but at this point I think we loose our last two freaking games. It seems like some boosters would get tired of this embarrassing shit.
I'm done with Les. He's a great man, but I think his time as a coach has passed. I can't support him anymore.
