Interesting. I am a hard right wing conservative (I consider myself a Barry Goldwater conservative)

I support States rights, the Constitution and small government....

I am trying to find out more about Ideology of the patriot party.
Are there other documents I can read ?

Sometimes things like these are the "face" of some of the militant groups or even some types of supremacy groups. The surface may seem normal and just about States rights, limited federal government, and strict constitutionalism (all of which I would agree with), but digging deep could find a lot of hate.

I may be 100% wrong and I apologize upfront if I am. Let us know what you find out.

this party sounds like a religious version of libertarianism. this party isnt all that terrible, but is a little too timothy mcveigh for me. plus its religious and i dont believe in magic.

not all that much worse than what we have going now though.

Even if they are legit no third party is ever going to actually win a presidential election or gain a majority in either house of Congress. The stronger a third party gets, the more ability they have to actually harm the party most closely in agreement with their philosophy. Ross Perot probably cost the first Bush re-election and put Clinton in office. Ralph Nader drew enough votes from Al Gore to tip the scales in favor of GWB.

Register on the web forum and ask questions. I am not a very religous person. I am a strict constructionist and have found this party to be also. The republicans have become democrats and the democrats have become socialists.
Goldwater republicans would fit nicely into the party. McVeigh would not.
Regardless of current party affiliation, anyone that is tired of having your hard earned money confiscated and given to everyone else on the planet, would make a nice fit.
This is a new grassroots movement, the time has come to be a leader not a follower.
The worst thing that could happen is to keep voting for the lesser of two evils. In my letter to President Bush, I stated, "That I would no longer vote for the lesser of two evils, the democrats are on a fast pace while the republicans have adopted a slow march toward a socialist h*ll."
We will endorse candidates based on the person , not the party.
Louisiana needs leaders with a vision for the future. Do you have a vision? Remember that you can't see the future if you are following a crowd.

The libertarian party stands for a lot of things that could be very detrimental for the country.
    1. Open borders (see where non controlled immigration gets us)
    2. Drug legalization (see Amsterdam)
    3. Completely free trade (the government is supposed to operate off of import and export taxes not income taxes) We don't have free trade anyway.

i am wildly in favor of 2 and 3, and i am not smart enough to comment on 1. restrictions on free trade are anti-capitalism, and drug illegality is completely irrational and foolishly puritan. i like libertarianism.

but i do appreciate when people recognize how similar and relatively useless our current parties are. good luck with the patriots.
