Ok, tonight showed just what is wrong with college football and its pathetic post season. I'm sorry but OU shouldn't have played in the championship game the last 2 years, the controversy will continue. We all know what happened last year and this years game was about as lop sided as I've ever seen for the post season. No way a team should lose their championship game and make the NC game. I think that every conference should have a championship game and the winners move on, its not fair the way its set up right now. Folks lets face it, the big 12 is overrated and aint what it use to be. Auburn should've played USC tonite, no way the Big 12 is better than the SEC this year! :dis: I hope somehow a change of the current system will happen because of this pathetic NC game. I'm also hoping USuck scores a bunch more against OU so that the system will have to be tweaked. I feel for OU but the teams in the Big 12 can't be very good if its true that OU hasn't given up a td until tonight, how many tonite? Bob Stoops nitemares will continue after this one.
EXACTLY! It's about time we did something like that. Not only would it validate the NC, but it would settle who the best confernence that year is.
just because LSU lost to Iowa, it doesnt mean LSU wouldnt beat either of these teams. OU deserved to be there, they just didnt show up tonight.
I guess that's true. I mean, we can all talk about how OU doesn't deserve to be there, but to be honest, this is NOT how OU has played AT ALL this year. I'd like to think this is a fluke.
They didn't show up for their championship game last year also, we beat them, doesn't look to me like they play well in championship games but I think people should look at the Big 12, it aint like it use to be. Only 2 good teams, Texas Tech and OU? :hihi:
we (the SEC) lose bowl games every year but for OU to make it for 3 times in 5 years to the NC game (and won one) and you turn it into a negative? LSU lost 3 games. USC lucked out in a few games to be undefeated yet showed up tonight while OU crumbled. if they play 10 times I could see OU winning 5 or 6. One game doesn't prove generalizations except Stoops isn't preparing his teams as well as he should. At least thats my take.
i suppose your right, I just wonder if the big 12 is as good as everyone thinks. I was really shocked when OU hasn't given up a td since November and the train wreck happened tonight. I wonder who all they played from November on? Maybe I should go look at their schedule? :dis: I just wonder if the teams are any good outside of Texas, OU and TT? Seems like the rest is mediocre OU winning 5 out of 6, not so sure about that part.
Playoff?? Come on...I'm glued to the TV by this magnificent matchup of the TWO best teams in the nation. This is as good as it gets people!
