This part of the LSU/UF match up intrigues me the most. I have this question. Why was Auburn the first team to slow Tebow? I know our defense will study that game film and be ready this weekend. The UF offense seems to be all Tebow. If you stop him you win. I don't see the UF defense winning games for UF. I don't want to seem over confident but on paper this could be another Virginia Tech game if we are not out coached, which I don't think will happen.

Of course if we dominate and win big everyone will say Florida was over rated and not that good. :helmet:

Re: Something I noticed about how Auburn's defense played Florida...

Yes, the tackling was some of the best I've seen. And I agree the Auburn defense stayed home most of the day. I think the result left Tebow thinking he had to win this game by himself. Which is why I was happy to see him on the bench the last few minutes until time ran out. That was great. I'm really curious to see how LSU takes this game film and uses it to smother the Gator offense. We have a much better/stronger defense. I know Oscar Meyer will have a great game plan ready for us. Gonna be a monster game on Saturday night. Wish I could be there. Can't wait to see Mike IV. :thumb:

it was obvious Auburn was gonna give them a good game. Auburn has as much talent on D as anyone. UF hadnt played even an average defensive team til then.

tebow is tough to stop in the spread O. he is big and runs like a back not a qb, and by running the qb its 11 on 11 not 10 on 11. UF has speed at WR so its tough to bring the safeties up to stop tebow---if the safeties come up too often, tebow burns them with the playaction. he seems to be accurate on deep passes when he gets protection.

florida's OL is good but not good enough to let tebow run enough on LSU. tebow will have to pass a lot to beat LSU. so, LSU has to get to tebow. the problem is how? does LSU have the luxury of getting to him without blitzing? doubtful. then that leaves the middle open if the LB blitzes. the only weakness the LSU D has shown is the soft middle. tebow will be coached to hit it often if LSU is able to stop him from running.

also, as was evident in the AU/ UF game, solid tackling is required against UF. since, LSU will have to get to tebow, that will mean mostly single coverage on WRs. if you miss harvin on a slant, he is gone.

Tebow is going to be hit hard.
I have a feeling this defense has something to prove.
It's certainly going to be fun to watch Tebow react
    to our quickness and size.
    Hehehehehehehe....I love it.:angryfire

I'm hoping for just one blind side hit on Tebow and a fumble. BOOM! :po:
Can you imagine how loud the stadium will rock on a hit like that?

Perhaps that's why we had a LB "spy" on Sat vs. Tulane. Trying to find a way to not be as-soft in the middle???? I hope that our front 4 will be able to put enough pressure on Tebow. Pelini will have to be very selective on when/where he blitzes.... Cover tight, then sprinkle in some devestating blitzing!
