Last year the Tiger men's basketball team laid an egg in the National Semi-Final game versus UCLA. This was partly because UCLA was better, partly because the Tigs knew they'd have to play Florida in the Championship Game, since the Gators had just destroyed George Mason. And the Tigs were, let's say, a little reluctant. This year, the Tigs took one look at what the we-mean-business version of the Gators did to Georgia in the SEC Tourny, got frightened, and . . . Ole Miss 80, LSU 60. "But the Tigs beat the Gators just a couple weeks ago!" some may say. "The Tigs weren't afraid!" Tell you what. I'll let you think on that one. I'm headed to bed.
judging from the rest of the season, i don't think a fear of the florida gators was the reason for our ass-whooping tonight
That is exactly what happened tonight. There was no looking ahead tonight, this whole season or last years final four.
Buddy, the Tigers are not scared of anybody. We don't have a very good team this year. That's why we got our butts kicked by Ole Miss. LSU has been inconsistent all year. But if you think LSU is scared of anyone, you need to start smoking regular cigarettes.
