first football, then women's hoops, and now women's softball. All three we beat Georgia for the SEC championship. Now the question must be asked, "Who's your daddy Georgia?" That's right,                     :lsug: :lsug: :lsug: :lsug: :lsug: :lsug: :lsug: :lsug: :lsug: :lsug: :lsug: :lsug: :lsug: :lsug: :lsug: :lsug: :lsug: :lsug: :lsug: :lsug: :lsug: :lsug: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux:
No need to ask a question that everyone already knows the asnwer to. :hihi: :hihi:     :thumb: :thumb: :geaux: :lsug: :champs: :champs: :champs: :champs: :champs: :champs: :champs: :champs: :champs: :champs: :champs: :champs: :champs: :champs: :champs: :champs: :champs: :champs: :champs: :champs: :champs: :champs: :champs: :champs: :champs: :champs: :champs: :champs: :champs: :champs: :champs: :champs: :champs: :champs: :champs: :champs:
Also beat them in mens basketball and baseball. I say we keep the tradition going on October 2, 2004.
Hey, Y'all... :usaflagwa Every time I turn on the sports news, it seems like LSU is hammering the Dawgs in this final game or that. But I'll just shake my head and hold my breath until LSU comes to Athens this Fall. And I'll hope that the law of averages raises its head. Aside from that, the Dawgs will field a much better football team this year than last. It should be a very good season if the injury list for this team stays small.
Chip, what does your depth look like at Georgia this year? LSU lost a few talented starters, but is deeper than we're used to at most positions. Everybody takes injuries, LSU has lost its starting RB three years in a row to season-ending injuries. I've always thought depth was the key to success in the SEC.
I've always thought depth was the key to success in the SEC. Red55, you hit the nail on the head with that statement. That is one big advantage LSU has right now, depth, without it we would not have had the season we did.
Red.... Well, to start, the Dawg offense has 10 starters returning. It was a total rebuilding year for the O line last year, and with all of the injuries factored in, they played about as good as one could expect. With the addition of a few redshirts, the Dawg offense will be much more potent. They gained a lot of experience and should be much improved. The defense has 8 starters coming back. The secondary is the biggest question mark, but the D line is going to be very strong. Sean Jones was a big loss when he turned PRO early, but the two guys behind him are all-american caliber as well. The Dawgs have been ranked by everyone to be in the top ten again, and I believe that two polls have listed them at number one and two. The Dawgs, in general, are very deep, especially at running back and WR spots, with the additions of Danny Ware, S. Johnson and AJ Bryant. Richt has silently recruited very well. He has also taken in some under-rated talent that may surprise a few folks. AJ Bryant may make a big impact as a true freshman. A 4.3 receiver that can also throw a ball 70 yards. All in all, I figure that the Dawgs should be able to make it to the Georgia Dome again...
Depth is one of the keys to success and we are very deep. UGA had a very unusual situation on the O-line last year and were young to startt with than they had their entire O-line hurt at one point in the season on top of that. Threy also lost their RB's, their best 2 D-backs and a LB with major injuries. They had more than their share last season and it continued somewhat in the spring as they had a few more go down. While we lost 2 RB's last season and a few others such as Hill for the season, we were injury free for the most part last season.
