Sheppard was just cut from the Eagles today. Surprising actually. He played pretty well, and he seemed to get some love from fans and media.
Drake Nevis and Jacob Hester were also waived. Nevis was picked up by the Chargers. The list in the OP has been updated.
To start the pre-season, Loston was the highest rated Sr on the team. Mett was seen as a middle round pick, if he continues on like he did Sat., he could push into the 1st or 2nd round. Colins on the OL looked really good. Mills won't play at LSU for his Sr year. Ego, starting to make waves. Jordan Allen, starting to show. Hunter is too quick, sniffs out plays well, plays fast. Hawk is one to keep an eye on, just the makings of a beast. Ol was starting to get things together in the 4th. Just a few notes.
I hope he makes it somewhere. Always feel he got shorted here. I thought Kelly's offense would've been a good fit.
I hope he makes it too but his inability to catch reliably and the fact he was cut by Kelly should make it clearer he doesn't have all of the tools he needs. He wasn't slighted just not quite talented enough. A great kid and Tiger but not a great footballer.
Winston's response said it all. He did not get shorted here; if anything, he shorted us by dropping a plethora of passes in his time here. Kelly's offense didn't have a place for him, either, because he probably peaked as a player in high school. It happens to some guys. The NFL isn't for everybody, and every great high school player won't be electric in college, either.
