    I'm sure most are aware of Rohan Davey but Howard Green, Jerel Myers, Terrell McGill, David Jones, Arnold Miller, and Norman LeJeune are also suiting up in the AFL.:geauxtige

    I think Clair is talking about that other league. Made up of college guys not quite good enough for the NFL

    AFL...= Arena Football League.

    My bad. :)

    I completely forgot that existed. lol

    I was talking about the AAFL, which has several Tigers, also.

    But while we're on the subject, how in the hell is Rohan on an arena roster? Last time I saw him, he was 330 lbs and that's being generous.

    Edit: I just looked a pictures on his team's website and he has seemed to slim down a little. Maybe the weight gain was just an offseason thing.

    I had never heard of that till now, and just went to check it out. Sounds pretty stupid to me, it's just like college football, except with crappy players, no fans, and no excitement.

    if they get it off the ground, it will work, because it isn;t competing with the NFL and is playing to the right market.

    A Bama fan will watch a former Bama player play, even if he is 100, especially when he is playing for a team called "Alabama."

    A LSU fan will watch a former LSU player, even if he is 45, 340 lbs and runs a 5.6 40, if they are on a team full of other former LSU players.

    Names like Chris Leak, Peter Warrick, etc... just strike to people's emotions in college states.

    I would love to see another league take hold and go somewhere. This time of year is just so hum drum. I know the NFL is the big dog on the block but I don't understand why every attempt to start something new just fails horribly?

    Because who wants to watch less talented athletes play? There's a reason why Tiger Stadium sells out and that TCU's does not. The level of play

    The AAFL has a lot of support behind it and the only thing that has led to another postponement is they are working on a TV contract.

    Most new leagues dont work but I think this once has the best chance to survive.
