Persoanlly, I'm gonna chalk this loss up the the perfect storm. Every team goes through these blowout(perfect storm) losses from time to time. The sky is not falling and I don't think our play Saturday night was indicitive of how our team will play for the rest of the season. From the minute Florida caught that first tipped ball for 6, you could almost feel that it was going to be one of those nights. We got hit by the perfect storm.

It happened to us in 2004 under Saban. The year after winning the NC, UGA absolutely dominated us from the onset. Nobody saw it coming and nobody could have predicted it. Perfect storm (45-16). We went on to have a good 9-3 season.

It happened to OU in the 2004 NC game. OU runs through their regular schedule undefeated and then get's absolutely blown out 55-19 in the NC game. Does anyone truly believe USC was 36 points better than OU? Can anyone say they would have taken USC and the points if they were -35 going into the game? OU got hit by the perfect storm.

It happened to Virginia Tech here in Tiger Stadium just last year. Virginia Tech rolls into Death Valley and get's rolled up 48-7. They go on to finish the season 11-3. We were the better team last year, but 41 points? It was the perfect storm.

It happens. We will rebound and we will get this thing back on track. Les Miles didn't forget how to coach overnight and our team didn't forget how to play football overnight. I'm looking forward to playing Spurrier's bunch. Let's beat the cocks.:hihi:

Basically you had a Flordia team that came off a crucial loss to an unranked team. Ole Miss is getting better and they are one of those teams that can beat anyone. I think are D-line wasn't use to playing the entire game because of the other d lineman that were hurt. Flordia has a lot of speed and a lot of talent. Don't be surprised if it's their year and they win the national championship. I think they had a statistic that said that the winner of the regular season florida vs. lsu game ended up in the sec championship game the last couple of years. I give my hat off to Florida as they played hard nosed mistake free football. :tigereye:

Good post. I will probably get told to mind my own business but I can't believe some LSU fans here are suddenly so negative and critical. I have become disgusted reading the posts of fickle fans on my Auburn boards and now I see the beginning of it here. Heck we are getting beat by bad teams and folks are ready to can Tubs. They have short memories and we suddenly have a horde of expert armchair QBs. Don't let thet happen to you guys. You got beat by a really good team on their turf on a night when they were hot.
Stay the course. LSU is still a very good team.
    Sorry for meddling.

I agree totally. I would add that Florida 1. had this date marked since Tiger stadium last year, 2. felt like ther season was on the line after the Ole Miss loss, and 3. had the RJF bulletin board material burned in by game time.

LSU...a freshman QB making his first start in the swamp. Nuff said! Now, I think it's LSU's turn. You can already tell the pundits have lost respect for us. Now, we have something to prove. I whole-heartedly believe we will.:thumb::thumb::thumb:

Thanks for the props AF, but its the way things have always been in BR. We expect a lot from this team and to a degree rightfully so, heres the thing though. I can handle gettin an old fashioned butt whoopin from time to time but just "DAMN"! I didn't think they were gonna go undefeated this year but "DAMN"! I thought we had enough talent on this team to at least make it a reasonable loss...this was uncalled for, was Fla better.."Absolutely". Was LSU bad..."Unbeleiveably stinky". I thought our guys were better than this, but they sure didn't show it this night. Thanks for the nice words bro...appreciate it.

This covers things pretty well I think...

What I have noticed the last two years is that in both Florida games, CUM has changed up his gameplan specifically for LSU. Last year and again this year the players who were interviewed afterwards said "they didn't do what we practiced against"... Last year the halftime adjustments took care of things... this year they didnt...
