Specifically called the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA), this award goes to the top Div 1 and II schools based on the results of a whole mess of men's and women's sports.

LSU got edged by Texas for #10 (ugh), with Georgia leading the way for the SEC at #5. Stanford led the way at #1.

For those interested, USuCk finished #21, which was not good enough to be the best in either their own state (Stanford at #1) or the city of Los Angeles (UCLA at #3).

Although there are a number of teams that could be blamed for LSU missing the vaunted top 10 (and for finishing just behind those arrogant a** Longhorns), I prefer to place blame on John Brady and the men's basketball team and their pathetic, uninspired, late season nose dive that cost them an NCAA tourney birth.

    My post, my choice. :)

Overall, the SEC's average finish was...30 (30.4, actually), with 10 of the 12 schools in the Top 50 overall (out of 274 Division 1-A and 1-AA schools).

The two who weren't in the Top 50? Here's a hint: their home state rhymes with "PISS-a-sippi". :eek:lefire:

I did not see football. If football is not included than the cup is not a very accurate interpretation of the athletics of a school.

I can't see that the list is complete.

I am going to have to revive my 3 major sports list I did a few months back.
