Hard game to predict, but I been thinking something like, well, fuck em, it's a Florida thing... They have less than half a clue what our offense is gonna bring and to that extent, I think we have maybe half a clue ourselves. We will catch em off guard and maybe a ST gouge can make a difference. Limited time preparing a non- starter to be a starter in his 1st start, so I imagine a simple, watered down offense that can be run with a few situational plays to move the chains. Red zone play will be an almost sickening sight at first, but we will see if improvements have been made there. Canes will or should play us zone until the tempo has been established. I think we gotta make our bacon in the first half if we are gonna get a W, but the 2nd half, the canes will adjust and it becomes a game then. Defense will make their mistakes with some pre-snap hankies, but dig in and get nasty come the 2nd half. If we can get and hold the lead in the 1st half, we should be able to rely on defense enough to save the 2nd half. Of course, Golden Girl sightings are key, so eyes peeled for them. So despite being a 3 point dog, I believe we survive to the tune of 24-17 or 21. Nothing fancy, just plain football without trying too hard to show our limited hand to the barn.
I think the Canes will come hard at the qb since he is green. The o-line will be key. Good play by them and we take Miami to the woodshed. 28-10
maybe my les miles phobia is coming out but I hope we don't play from behind. we'll play well enough to win but close enough to bitch about good guys 20-16
... i think that if Jeaux doesn't turn in to pick 6 lee and CSE doesn't call 3 yds and a cloud of dust or the jet sweep, we should fare pretty well... our d will be better than last year at all levels...
I’m standing by my 27-6 prediction. Offense catches UM off guard in first half to lead 21-3, then defense stymies them in second half to hang on.
