to get screwed by the BCS. LSU should now be rated now lower than 4th. There is only one major undefeated team and only OU, USC and Florida State will be rated higher than the Tigers after this weekend. I don't think OU is going to lose a game. USC dosen't have anybody left on their schedule who will challenge them. Florida State still has to play Florida. LSU is a better football team than either USC or Florida State. Even if Florida State loses to Florida LSU will end up no better than 3rd in the polls and BCS . The BCS will put OU and USC in the Sugar Bowl. LSU will play another one loss team just as deserving to prove they deseve a shot at the National Championship on the field in the Orange, Fiesta or Rose Bowl. It might be a great game against a great opponent but it will mean absolutly nothing towards determining the National Champion. How will those Tiger fans who opposed a playoff on another thread feel about it then?
Honestly, who has USC played? The PAC-10 isn't exactly the SEC or Big 10 or Big 12. They beat ND (who isn'tthese days?) Auburn(big deal) and a host of wannabe's on the coast. Granted LSU hasn't played a very tough schedule, but the SEC teams alone are hard to beat if you have to play one every week. LSU lost to a very good Florida team as the nation is finding out and USC lost to a weak CAL team. Why doesn't LSU get considered for the #2 spot. (FSU really deserves it now, I will be shocked if they get past Florida.)
yes, I agree IF LSU wins out and then wins the SECCG then we shold be #2 or #3, but the BCS formula may eave us out. IN this case LSU may be screwed has it fights off the stigma of the pollsters. But lets take care of our business before we go down this road. Geaux Tigers!
We got "screwed" by our performance against Florida. Unfortunately, that will keep us out of the NC picture. I agree, though, that it doesn't seem right that USC is consistently rated so much higher that LSU. A seeming contradiction. FSU's defeat of Notre Dame should not add lustre to their season so far. But you can bet that to the pollsters and to the geeks that punch the garbage into the BCS computers a win over Notre Dame is worth more than an LSU win over Ga or Auburn. Right now, I'm more worried about Bama. One of the negatives about this team so far is their performance following open dates.
I don't think USC is a done deal to win out they still have UCLA and Oregon St. and Oregon St. can deffinetly beat them. Oklahoma could still lose as well anything can happen in college football all LSU need's to do is win the rest will take care of itself.
what is it with people like you, your game against us is coming up in like 3 weeks and you are already talking smake. ole miss wont beat auburn, so don't come over here talking trash already
look here little one, ole miss shuts down the run. auburn sure as hell doesnt have anything else. Or hell lets say we lose and beat ls who, we still win the west.
