1. As I wrote in this thread or another, I watched Jack in his prime. There is no doubt in my mind that the players Nicklaus battled, e.g., Palmer, Player, Watson, Trevino, Casper, etc. were tougher down the stretch than the players Tiger beats today.
  2. I must have been away from the set when Johnny stuck his foot in his mouth again:

  3. Worst announcer in all of sports. I wish he would have been fired, or even sent to jail to make me happy.
  4. Golf crtics and pundits rank Johnny as the best golf analyst and he is when he limits his commentary to the game of golf.
  5. It's not that he doesn't know the game - millions know the game. The way he delivers his message is depressing and more often than not untimely. Even if that weren't the case, I am not sure how he brings anything extra to the table. I have met Miller before and he is extremely nice, it is nothing personal against him.

I like guys like Tirico that don't draw attention to themselves.

He is a lot better when he does this. I thought Miller was going to have a stroke watching Tiger eat that granola bar before the playoff, essentially killing all the positive notes Rolfing gave right before that.
  6. I like Miller a lot. I don't really care about those kinds of comments. He is passionate about the game, and he tells it like it is. Lots of people don't care for that.
  7. Me too! He is dead on about the game play, shot selection and analysis. I dont know why anyone has a problem with his commentating because he is pretty accurate in his observations.
  8. I'm a big Miller fan.
  9. As I said previously, I don't as long as he restricts his commentary to golf.

It's when he strays away from golf that he gets into trouble. And personally those off-topic comments don't cause me to lose any sleep at night. I just chalk it up to Johnny being Johnny.
  10. I actually haven't slept since last Monday, and am still pushing for a jail sentence.
