I researched and asked a lot of questions last year before I bought my first ever LSU ticket. I must say I chose wisely, and my 16th row ticket in 301 was excellent.
Remembering back to before I purchased that ticket, I remember someone telling my that I should be careful not to sit "too low", as some of the view could be obstructed.
Question: Can you sit too low in Tiger stadium? If you had the choice, what row would you sit in?

Penn, I would sit anywhere in Tiger Stadium. I've sat as low as the first row of the south endzone before (actually, in the stand alone seats in front of the first row) for the '07 Arkansas OT game, where we thought we'd thrown away a NC. For that, it was great when the teams were playing in the south endzone, getting to see plays develop the way the players see it. But when the game was transpiring on the other end of the field, it was not the greatest view.

For last year's Arkansas game, I was six rows up from the LSU bench on the 50-yard line. That was absolutely the most fun experience ever.

Naturally, for both of those seats, standing for the entire game is a necessity, but who wants to sit through an LSU game anyway?

There are two rows of "box" seats all around the stadium below Row 1 and the retaining walls. They replaced a former hedge and are literally on the same level as the field. They are bad because they are blocked by the team and coaches, the band, photographers, the cops and whoever else has a field pass.

Do not accept these seats unless you are there to talk to cheerleaders.

I like to sit about halfway up the lower bowl. High enough for a good view of the field, but not too far away from it. I've been in 211 for 30 years looking right along the north goal line and a great view of the entire field. Aisle seats on the shortest aisle in the stadium and close to Tiger Band.

Those were the seats we had for the '07 Arkansas game. True, it wasn't a great view of the field, but it's a fun place to experience the game, all the same. My older daughter was in 1st grade at the time, and it was nice for her to be able to move around at will. Plus, she took pictures with both the Arkansas and LSU cheerleaders. She thought it was cool. But not as cool as the pictures she took at the '11 Arkansas game with Ron Brooks and Tracy Wolfson.

I love my seats at the top of the bowl in 315, you can see every play clearly and since those seats are in the end zone you are sitting directly in front of the big screen for replays.

The only place I wasn't fond of was in the visitors section, but it was full of Mountaineers so that may have had something to do with it, couldn't even smell the corndogs over that odor.

if you get tickets anywhere top you'll still have great seats. endzones aren't that great but anywhere in upper deck has a great view.
