-LSU's goalposts are going to change into normal style GP's? -the 5, 10 ,15, 20 ect markings are going to be in increments of 10 to accomodate the NFL commish? any truth to these rumors?
The marking have to change...they did that this year. It's just paint. I'm not sure about the goal posts
yeah I know they did that, but I heard the NFL wants tiger stadium to change them permanetly... not just for sundays...
Why do you think the NFL cares what The field looks like at Tiger Staduim. If I was in charge of TS i would tell the NFL to go look at some other place, and get the hell out of DEATH VALLEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't see how if it isn't going to be a permanant NFL stadium. Of course with enough cash I'm sure Bertman can be persuaded.
You know when I go into a house and I take my shoes off. If the NFL wants to use TS They have to deal with it the way it is. Next you will hear that then endzones will be black and gold letters that spell SAINTS and at the 50 will be a gold cresent.
LSU will not change the double-post goalposts unless forced by the NCAA. Bob Broadhead changed to single-posts for a few years, but Joe Dean brought back the double posts. They are not the same as the old tradtional double-posts which were a simple "H" shape. The new ones do have a set-back to get the posts out of the end zone. LSU is not an NFL stadium and LSU will paint the field any way it wants to.
If I recall correctly, LSU received a special exemption from the NCAA to allow the double-legged goalposts. I doubt that the NFL has significant, short-term influence to force LSU to change to funky yellow, single-legged goalposts, which BTW, would suck arse!
