I'm heading to Baton Rouge this weekend for my first LSU gameday experience and I have a couple of questions and I was hoping someone could answer a couple of questions for me. First is regarding parking and tailgating. If I park in the free parking areas there, is the tailgating scene good in those lots or should I venture elsewhere? Second is regarding seating. Do the rows start with the double letters at the bottoms such as "AA" or do they start with A through Z and then move on to the double letters? Any help that you can give me in these two areas is greatly appreciated.

The rows start w/ A to Z, and then move into "AA", "BB", etc. as you go up.

Tailgating is pretty much good anywhere on campus. You can always find good parties. I'd check out the Parade Grounds...it's where ESPN will be set up.

free parking is some of the best tailgating. they don't waste the money on parking passes. get there early. like 8am. unless you prefer to walk 2 miles.

and rows start with A up to ZZ. the higher seats aren't bad at all and the fans are great in the upper atmosphere.

Tailgating is nice all over, but I would also reccomend taking a long walk around campus, just to see the sights. Especially since this is your first time. You will see alot more diversity and different tailgating get-ups. Not that you have to be mobile the whole day, just set aside some time for a stroll.
