I got an email just a little while ago from a friend of my grandfather's who is a big wig in TAF. This is a little snippet about an addition to Tiger Stadium in a few years. Anybody hear about this yet? Looks sweet. :D

"Richard also made the statement that there will be plans in place within the next 2-3 years to enclose the South end zone.
Slidell Al, can you give us some info on this........"

Not sure why. We would never fill it for lesser opponents. But it would sure as hell look cool. :thumb:

I heard TAF is discussing this and it looks like it will happen in the next 4 years or so. I am all for it.

No one else thinks that those seats would be WAY WAY WAY too far from the field?

    Top row, south endzone.

I recently read that too. Some people certainly want it. Don't know if it will ever come to pass.

This may sound crazy, but I actually like sitting at the top of the student section right under the scoreboard. It helps block the sun and I like to see the play unfold from above. Kinda reminds me of Madden of NCAA, which is probably why I like it so much.

Plus you can mix your drinks in peace, because cops normally hang out below so that you can keep an eye on them.:thumb: Plus you can walk in 5 minutes before kickoff and still get a seat, maximizing tailgating time.

I do agree with Red's idea of building a "modernized" Tiger Stadium on River Road overlooking the Miss. river. Although I don't see that happening anytime soon.

Hell yeah, we can take them out of the lower bowl, and move them to the same corner, just way the phuck up there. That way when opponents run out of their tunnel, it's not through "friendly" faces.:thumb:
