Tiger Stadium--A kicker's worst nightmare

    What is the deal with kickers looking like crap in Tiger Stadium. Going back to the GA game two years ago with their "automatic" kicker. Also,Seems like everyone has troubles kicking in tiger stadium. Wondering if it is the turf? Seems like a lot of sand is kicked up in the game.

    It is the noise I guess?

    Because the pro kickers make their FGs here, so it's not like you can say the surface sucks or something

    Having kicked (Punts, FGs, Kickoffs) in HS & College ... I can say that there is one singular reason that kickers fare poorly in Tiger Stadium ... disorientation due to ...

    Noise

    Sound like we have disorients kickers greatly, it's that simple! It creates an adrenaline rush that causes the body to react. Only progressive relaxation & extreme concentration can overcome these bodily changes due to noise levels.

    If all opposing team kickers wore earplugs and practiced with them the week before playing in TS ... the results would be drastically different ... and AU would be Western Div Champs right now ... IFFFFFFFFFFF! :hihi:

    No one does it because kicking with earplugs causes "slight" disorientation ... practice ... practice ... practice :dis:

    YELL LIKE HELL WHENEVER KICKERS TAKE THE FIELD FOR A FG ... 30 seconds of it before a kick :lol:

    I say it's a nice little old voodoo woman from the bayou that has placed a hex on Tiger Stadium's visiting kickers. :thumb:
