Fundamentals coach, i dont care how fast, big, and strong you are, if you dont have the intelligence to know not to throw the ball away with a 2 pt lead with 20 seconds left and the ability to shoot free throws, you will NOT win many games. Tack has to know with a 2 pt lead with less than 20 ticks left not to drive toward the hoop, anyone know how many free throws we missed towards the stretch come on tigers, you guys have a lot of talent and a pretty solid coach behind you, we all know you guys have talent, you guys are kidding yourselves if you think you cant beat west virginia or southern miss,

It doesn't matter, according to some we're a football school.
    Also
This team is playing real well this year already, from the West Virginia game on.

I don't know whats going on with Brady and our teams lately but I think we were
better on probation, seemed to have better recruiting classes and a better starting
    five and certainly played better.

Certainly looks like we're headed the wrong way down a one way street. :dis:

Like I said on the other thread, I don't expect to much so I won't be :dis:

I did not see today's game, nor did I listen to it. I am upset with LSU having given up 80+ points to Southern Miss though. I have seen a couple of the early season games in person this year and I was impressed by the overall hussle of the team. However, the usually solid defense of Brady's teams is simply non-existent thus far this year.

I still look forward to seeing them play Florida St. in New Orleans and I am hopeful that they can have a nice game against them. I must admit though that I am for once not very optimistic. I am fearful that it will be a long season sitting in the PMAC watching some of these conference games in the upcoming months.

Definitely not ready to give up on these players or this coach but in my mind this is definitely the year to put up or shut up, so to speak.

I have tied a white flag to a stick but I'm not ready to wave it yet.

Sourdough. Some say this is a football school, the implication being that basketball is not that important. We get it. You don't have to put it in every post.

I'm guessing the BBMLB will have its next scheduled monthly "lunch munch in" in the next few days or weeks...

I think a problem with the performance of Brady in the past three years is the fact that we haven't been truly paying attention to it...What with the success of the football program and whatnot, our attention has diverted away till early January each & every year the past three...

Now, with the Saban-to-the-NFL yearly right of passage, we're burying this coach's underwhelming at best coaching performances even further on the back pages...and that's a shame, and a detriment to LSU Basketball.

Look at it this way...How would Brady be viewed if we were a 4-7 team in football the past few years, and our eyes looked towards basketball as a source of school pride a little more quickly?

I think John Brady would have probably been axed as an assistant coach on Tim Floyd's staff this past NBA offseason, if you really wanted to know...

But, with two SEC titles in the past three years, two BCS Bowl victories, and one BCS National Championship, we aren't paying very close attention to his antics at all these days...

Tis a shame...Because LSU Basketball truly deserves much better.
