    WE NEED YOUR HELP

With so many of our loyal fans unable to secure tickets to this game, we have discussed creating a game-watching party to allow Tiger fans to watch, and hopefully celebrate, together.

We want to know from you if you believe this event would be a success. Here is what is being considered:

The LSU women's basketball team plays Arizona on January 4 beginning at noon in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center. Beginning immediately after the game, fans could tailgate directly in front of the PMAC until the Nokia Sugar Bowl begins at 7 p.m. We would show the telecast of the game on the video boards in the arena.

We would have concessions available, and you could enter and exit the arena as often as you like to continue your tailgating. Admission to this event would be free, but donations would be accepted for the construction of Mike the Tiger's new habitat.

So what do you think? I'd like to hear from some of you about whether this is an event that LSU fans would attend. If you can't be in the Superdome, wouldn't it be great to share this experience with fellow Tiger fans? Let us know. Your response will direct our decision on whether or not to hold this event.

I think thats a great idea especially for people with kids, who don't want to go to New Orleans to watch the game somewhere down there. Get out support the womens team, Mike the Tiger, and watch LSU win the National Championship! Good idea.

great idea...i emailed skip and told em so....everyone please email LSU to let them know they need to open the PMAC for those unfortunate to not have a ticket :(

i live in bossier city and i would consider just staying in baton rouge instead of heading to new orleans if the PMAC was opened

I've heard that the Superdome is worried about security. They realize that they will already expect more people on the ramps than will have tickets. And, with 15-18,000 more people, they're worried about a near riot.

I've heard from a good source that they are going to close down the Superdome ramps and require a ticket just to get on to the ramps and the entrance level.

They announced today that it will definitely NOT happen. They cited "private parties" as the reason.

Yep. Some corporate deal rented out the "Emerald Palace" for a pre-game party. As reported on 1210 in BR by Mr. John Fine.

That sounds like a great idea. Parlay the women's game and support for Mike's new home with the Tigers playing for the National Championship. I think the PMAC would be "sold out" with Tiger fans wanting to watch the game and have a camaraderie with other fans in a game-like atmosphere.
