CFN: One of the most touching moments of last season was the Nov. 13 ceremony honoring former Sun Devil and Army Ranger Pat Tillman, who was killed in combat in Afghanistan. What was that night like for you at Sun Devil Stadium?

SK: Well, I’ll be honest with you, we were in the locker room talking about the game when the ceremony took place. I’ll start from the beginning. When I saw those helicopters fly over, and they did the missing man in position, I welled up. A guy like that is so special. I wish I had a chance to meet him so bad. Later on, I saw bits and pieces on TV, when they unveiled the jersey. Shoot, it was on television, and I started crying. That kind of guy is so special. He touched so many lives. He touched my life, and I never met him. There just aren’t many American heroes, and I feel fortunate to wear the same jersey as he did. I see his picture in our locker room every day, and whenever I’m having a bad day, it just reminds to pull my head out of my you know what.
