________! At this point in 2007 I thought we had the best team in the country but our D seemed to fall off in 07. We lost to a average but nice QB Tucky team and the Hogs late was just awful. That lose to the Hogs hurt me as much as any lose LSU has ever had. Of course it worked out and we got the :crystal:!!

This year we are soooo deep on D I just don't see it happening.

    As of Right NOW !!!!

    LSU IS #1

I don't see anyone that we have to play that I have a deep concern about (Bama just a little)!

    this feeling is priceless

could lose to just about any of the remaining opponents. besides teams that mirror lsu (bama, ou) id be most worried about a team that can score like boise. add in turnovers and special teams and lsu can definitely lose. however, i wouldnt bet against them straight up against anyone.

    Don't agree

    We broke down Oregon

    We broke down MSU

Sat night you will watch us break down WV

at some point you will get to where I am right now - this D is to good and our O is good enough !

LSU right now is the #1 team in the country.

I dito everything said. But, our schedule is tough and we have to keep rotating players on D ,and the only teams that have a slim chance is Bama, Florida and Arkie. We have to be ready and our special teams need major improvement.

    Cliff,
there are some people who's vote counts, both coaches and reporters, that will never vote lsu #1. Just look at the split bcs/ ap vote for nc in 2003. It's sad but true. Lsu is the reason strength of schedule was removed from the bcs. I may be wrong but that's what I heard about the strength of schedule thing where everyone was waiting on the Hawaii game to end to see who was #1&#2.

I disagree LSU could lose to Bama, Arky, WVU and why is everyone ignoring FLorida or Tennessee. LSU should win the majority of those. But UF and Bama are as good as LSU in talent. Arky is better (much) in offense but dramatically weaker in Defense. But if we get into a shoot out. Could be in trouble.
You are right this LSU team is great. But not a single one of those games is a given.
I am sorry but LSU is going to have to learn how to score some more points and open up the playbook a bit.

Personally and i am sure i will get flamed, I am still 100% confident there is not a single team in the SEC west that finishes the Season without a loss. Including LSU.
The league is just way to stacked.

Arkansas may be my biggest concern, followed by Bama, then Florida.

The piggies "were" my biggest concern ... until I watched them Sat night against Troy.

Troy should have won that game. They dropped two TD passes, that led to two missed FGs. AR run defense was pretty good, but not stellar [granted, Bequette was out]. Their pass defense is pathetic. Wilson threw an int against a very inferior DB group, and Adams coughed up two fumbles. AND .. a big issue, is that Wilson was taking some heat in the pocket from a sunbelt D line. .. I hate to imagine what's going to happen when a Bama or LSU line faces them. The piggies got issues. If they don't work those out by this weekend, Bama will be eating some smoked pork for dinner.

But alas .... "on any given day". I do think LSU has the best team in the nation ... but on any given day, you never know.

I am confident in LSU!!! They have a great team. But, Arkansas always scares me. It always seems like they play their best against LSU. The team has to be vigilant in preparation every week and not take any opponent lightly.

Arkansas can do us a favor

I would like too see Arkansas Having a Elephant Tail Bar B Cue . Think I may work up a good winning recipe for that .This is the 1st real team the Elephants have played so far .
