It seems like everyone thinks the media is against their team. SI is on it. Bonus: Four letter word in the second paragraph. First I've seen from SI.com http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/scorecard/11/15/brushback.media/index.html
the watchdog group FAIR does exist, but I do believe its strictly for political reporting, nothing to do with sports....of course this SI story is totally fictional, as they indicate.
Did anybody get the fact that the article was completely made up? The quotes you guys are quoting are totally fictional. That's funny.
Of course I did. And I appreciate the excellent satire, but my point was that even in an effort to poke fun at college fans for always thinking it's their team getting the shaft, he still Notre Dame's (and USC's) us to death. There are other college teams with fans out there.
kinda reminds me of martin's rant about the Borat character being Jewish in real life making fun of Jews.
the sad thing is that the system (not just the media) is biased against EVERY team. because the way that champions are determined is completely unfair. the media has to do something for the first half of the season and they are lazy so they put little thought into the polls. basically, last years good teams are ranked high because their qb came back. now, im going to kill myself.
