This is the most talented LSU team since Shaq, Chris Jackson, and Stanley Roberts

were here. The front court of Davis, Thomas and Mitchell are incredible....yet young.

We are one guard away from competing with the upper echelon teams. The turnovers drive me crazy but it's due to their inexperience. If we can convince GD from going pro after this year and recruit a legitimate PG we will go far in the tournament next year.

Upper echelon huh? Houston and Nothern Iowa are just a smidge ahead of you there I guess.

LSU fans...Prepare to lose to the "Draft bug". It happens to the best of us.:thumb:

this team maybe the most talented team since that era...but i still think the strohmile/ bright/ smith team when we nailed kentucky at LSU would beat this team right now...

most talented since then, probably, but doesnt mean much. those teams did squat when it counted.

dont forget that LSU had only 11 turnovers on the road against a good defensive msu team last night. the UT game was the exception.

dream on bama boy. this young team has improved much since the losses to UH and NIowa--would beat them both now. btw, NIowa is better than bama. by sec tourney time, this LSU team will be the bomb.

    GD aint leaving.

I'm so tired of hearing people talk about that 1989-90 team that didn't win
ANYTHING. I watched an unranked Kansas team w/ 5 slow white guys come into the PMAC and absolutely dismantle this team, because they had superior coaching (although we didn't really know it at the time...Roy Williams was in his first year there), and because they played together as a team...a concept that was generally lost on Chris, Shaq, Stanley, et. al.

Yes, this team had a lot of INDIVIDUAL talent. But that doesn't necessarily pay off in the final analysis when all that counts is winning.

This is actually one of the things I like about this team, they are playing like a team.

We are 3rd in the SEC in assists, a good indicator that we don't play as individuals on offense. And when you consider that we start 3 freshmen, they'll only get better as the year goes on.
