    The nut is a Michigan sportswriter...can you say, "HOMER"???

    Any team that surrenders 423 rushing yards in ONE GAME...nearly half of a successful FULL SEASON for a good running back...doesn't deserve to be considered for a National Championship with TWO losses...

    This guy's a super homer for the Big Blue...and a douche to boot....

    No, it's like going on a 10-game winning streak at the end of September, but missing the playoffs because you were 11 games back.

    I love how this guy just dismisses Michigan's losses because they had blocked punts. I guess special teams don't count.

    And how he ASSUMES LSU would have lost had they gone up against a tough, non-conference opponent...

    Again, this douche is stretching. This "TOUGH ROAD GAME" was against Oregon....Oregon, the FIFTH best team in the WORST BCS conference. The Ducks, who spent the holidays in lovely El Paso for the Sun Bowl.

    By the way, Oregon travels to Ann Arbor next season.

    Quite a reach to think they're deserving of #1. However, I am amazed at the number of folks I talk to who have already given USC the game. The Trojans may win, but I wouldn't write Michigan off just yet. Frankly, wouldn't surprise me at all if the wolves beat the trojans. And they might.
