In the first place, pardon me if I ramble, I drank way too good Bourbon way too fast tonight.

I have seen acrimony tonight, and frankly I do not think it befits the Tiger fans that I have seen this year. This game has to do with one thing, a group of players who overcame more obstacles than anyone had a right to expect. They lost a game while their world was in turmoil; they lose another tonight after performing through an incredibly strenuous run. You have to put aside your disappointments and give it up for these guys. Anything else is selfish, proves you are not a member of this team, and are seeking gratification from someone else’s efforts.

Talent level, all top SEC teams have talent, no one has a monopoly. That is what makes the games so great and unpredictable. Coaching? Right now there are two teams who have not been outcoached. And soon there will be one. Dialogue about how too improve, certainly, this casting dispersions I find beneath you. You were undefeated in the SEC west and overcame two hurricanes. Anyone who claims you did not play the toughest schedule in the country is a fool. Anyone who says that you fell short is a person who has never known adversity and the real meaning of accomplishment. That you entertain discussions of worthiness and blame leaves me bewildered. LSU stepped up this year and displayed the heart of a champion. It may be hard for you to accept at this moment, but a piece of hardware is not the measure of this team from Baton Rouge.

yeah, it's STILL good to be a TIGER FAN!

and here's why...... opposing fans SHUT UP nearly every week. cause we win most games. I just LOVE when an opposing fan is all meek never says a word until you LOOSE to some "other" team. funny you don't hear from them after you whip their tail! I just love when they "pop" up all of a sudden, saying " oh look LSU lost big " KNOWING they couldn't do it, and they missed their chance. All you have to do is remind them and they slink back into the gutter.

then there are SOME fans , although few and far between, that have class, like DECEKS who posted this thread.

Hold your heads up when they ridicule you next WEEK Tigers, because the reason is we sit SOOO high that they all want to see us fall.

the climb back up isn't easy, but the TIGERS do it time and time again.
Every team loses, and the Tigers don't do it often. It's not how you win that proves the "metal" and internal fortitude of a Team, college, fan base, Athletic program,..... it's how well YOU LOOSE.

A lose makes you appreciate the good wins, savor them more, it "unspoils" you. WE wont be down long, Oh no..... because We are TIGERS and we support our TEAM and by God they play their tails off for us 99.9 % of the time and make us PROUD. That's all I can ask. :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige

What is there to be proud of the lucky games they won?that they managed to sneak into the title game where they shouldn't have been in the 1st place or the horrible display of football they put out today on the field?we should be ashamed and nothing more

Did one of phat pil's letters find its way to your mailbox? ut had a reason to be ashamed, you may have reason to be ashamed of yourself, but the LSU football team has nothing to be ashamed of. Do not confuse room for improvement with shame. We all have room to improve, and we all will fail to reach perfection in our lives.
