As one NFL suit remarked: "This guy always wants people to beg him to take their job . . . he likes people kissing his ass all the time . . . as soon as he heard of a possible player revolt if he took the Miami job I'm sure he went behind the teams' back and try to snoop for another gig so that the 'Nick you're great' parade could start again somewhere else."

Another NFL guy who is familiar with Saban calls him "a guy who has one agenda -- himself -- and he uses his chronies around the NFL to push that song -- he's a fu--in' phony." His title as King Bull**** is even mocked in his college town newspaper.

Well if that is your feeling, I wonder where you are gonna be if Saban happens to stay.

    Hopefully nowhere near this board.

    islstl,

I'm a Tiger fan and frankly I'm tired of what Nick has put us through for 3 years now. I am very grateful for what he has given us and what he has brought to LSU football but this is enough.

I understand all the stuff about making a decision to take care of your family and being challenged at the next level, blah, blah, blah.

At this point it's either you stay a Tiger or you move on. This off season flirtation with the NFL is getting old.

To answer your question, would I support him if he stayed. Absolutely but he needs to give our school and this team a commitment so we don't have to go through this crap every off season.

BTW he is not staying.

I just totally disagree with the content of that post. I have no problem with people being frustrated about this entire process. But to say he is milking it for all its worth and enjoying watch people kiss his ass is simply crossing the line.

It has to make you wonder why he entertains the J'ville job, Chicago and now Miami. Doesn't sound like it could be an ego stroke to you? We all know Nick has a big ego and is a pita on a good day.

Once again, I'm a Tiger fan and I'm sick of this crap. Let's concentrate on football and who will lead this team beyond this year.

Let's assume it is an ego stroke, and that is still a big assumption to make, this could be as good as things get for Nick Saban. he is a hot commodity now. How long will that be so? Fame doesn't last forever. I've been in similar situations in terms of job offers (just wish the dough came with it). Miami should give Saban 24 hours or something. Nick has to make up his mind. He's got the best deal in CFB. He can coach at LSU probably for as long as he likes. If he takes an NFL gig, he will eventually be fired from that job or will have to resign. That's simply the way it is. What would be next for Saban, another NFL gig, back to the college ranks? Sometimes when you got it good, there's no reason to go fixin' it. But Nick may never have such an "opportunity" again. Let's give it some time. It's out of our control.
