    I would not agree that Reagan won becuase he was more likeable. I would say that was very debateable. He won because Carter was a miserable failure.

    Why is Bush Jr. only ahead by 5% in the polls in the middle of wartime?

    Doesn't matter. That 5% lead on November 2nd will ensure that he's called "Mr. President" for another 4 years, while Lurch goes home to Mass.
    to preen over his bogus medals and sulk about what might have been.

    BTW, he's not "Bush Jr."...he's George W. Bush. His father was George H.W. Bush. That means he's not a junior.

    Why did Gore not win handily in a peaceful time and with a booming economy (at the time several economists predicted an upcoming recession but that was still speculation).
    Because people did not like the guy...have you seen this guy lately. He looks frickin insane...and fat to boot.
