Worst seafood meal I have ever had is at Red Lobster in Monroe. First and only time I ever ate at a RL. In TX, people would ooh and ah over how great it was. They just don't know what seafood is supposed to taste like.
Red Lobster and Long John Silvers both flopped in Baton Rouge. You can't get away with selling frozen seafood in this town.
Chain seafood never makes it in "fishing" states. I can't recall ever seeing any in any of the mid-Atlantic states from Maryland to Rhode Island(I've visited all of them). Each of the states in between I've had great seafood from local places right on the shore.
Well, pretty much everywhere here sucks, but.... where I used to live in Texas there was 1 clear winner, and that was Panchos.
However, we still have a Joe's Crab Shack here. I've been there *once*. Will never go back. Mine would probably Applebees. I have never had anything good there.
Worst chain is Applebees with Chili's being a close second. Worst local place is either Jambalaya Shop or Drusilla Seafood.
