The West has been completely dominant over the East this season so far. I think the record is 7-1. I never thought that the West would become dominant without Alabama playing well. The ways things are shaping up we are going to have to win our six remaining SEC games just to get into the title game.

We need to win every game left on our schedule. There is no reason why we cannot. If we do, then there is no doubt about who needs to go to Atlanta. We are the best team in the West at this point, and we are the best team in the conference as well.

When was the last time the two highest ranked SEC teams were from the West and did not include Alabama? 1960?

As the A&M and UT fans would call it, the game on "T day + 1" is shaping up to be HUGE.

Well technicall the West didn't exist until the early 90's but I beleive in 1959 LSU was #1 and Ole Miss #3 at the time of the Halloween Run, I dont know who was #2.

If my Tiger history is correct...

Ole Miss was number 2 on Halloween night 1959 and LSU was #3. Michigan State was #1, but had lost earlier that day. Ole Miss fans chanted "We're Number One" during the pregame activities. Billy Cannon and the Bandits shut them up before the night was through.

    GEAUX TIGERS !!!!!!!!
