In three of LSU's last four conference games this year, they are playing a team that played Mississippi State the week before. Is this some kind of quirk in the scheduling, or what? The one team that doesn't play Mississippi State the week before is Ole Miss, which has an open date. Here's a question: Since Mississippi State is so dreadful (about as easy to beat as "Open Date"), does this help the other team to get a head start on preps for LSU? I really think not, because in the SEC each team had better focus on the next opponent. It, certainly, didn't seem to help Auburn any! Does it help LSU at all, by seeing prior week game film against a common opponent? Again, probably not. I do find this very interesting, though! :geaux:
