The results are in,THE MOST HATED COACH

    IN THE SEC is.........

    Fulmer......... 38%
    Tuberville..... 26%
    Saban......... 13%
    Richt........... 11%
    Nutt............ 6%
    Cutt............ 3%
    Zook............ 2%
    Holtz............ 1%

    There were two large groups that I couldn't poll from.... Alabama and UGA. I think it is a given that most Bama fans would divide their hate between Fulmer and CTT. Probably around a 75% Fulmer, 25% CTT split.

    As far as UGA fans go....... I haven't a clue. But one would assume their hate would be directed toward a long-standing rival in their division.... Fulmer.

    Along the same lines, Eastern and Western division teams tend to vote more for coaches in their same division..... CTT garnering most of the votes from the West ( probably excluding Alabama), and Fulmer getting the most votes from Eastern teams.

    What is funny is I received a lot of replies stating that they wished they could vote for Spurrier. You know, as much as he beat the hell out of us.... it always made it that much sweeter to beat Florida.... just to piss him off. [​IMG]
    ( no one could throw a visor to the ground better than him. )

    Thanks for those who participated, and board memebers who allowed this to stay for a while.

    Being an Auburn fan, I can't say I'm too happy with the results, but you've gotta admit... a little bit of 'coach hate' makes the games all the more exciting.

    him time... he'll win over the rest of the league eventually. :wink:

    Some people are voting for the coach that they don't like personally. Others are voting for the coaches they don't like because they have been beaten by them. Thus Spurrier still gets a lot of votes.

    Were the %'s based on overall response in numbers or did each school count as 1 vote? For instance, if 100 LSU fans participated in the survey and all voted for Tubby while only 2 South Carolina fans participated and they both voted for Richt, would that be one vote for Tubby and one for Richt. Or 100 for Tubby and 2 for Richt? If it was 100 for Tubby, did you get an equal sample from each school?

    Thats an easy one. Saban and Richt beat those fans teams a lot more often than Nutt does.

    It was by no means a fool-proof poll. What I did

    was go to SEC boards which I had access.... all the West schools except Bama and UT and Fl.

    Damn a Dog Vent!


    I didn't bother with Vandy and Kentucky.... I think they always hate their coach the most.

    I didn't have access to So. Car until today, but by the responses, they can't stand Fulmer either.


    I went to each board and just added the responses, then divided the # for each coach by the total.


    In no means is it exact, but I think it paints a pretty good picture of the divisions between the East and West.
