The one thing I found most ominous about the OSU game...

It really distresses me that OSU broke off a 41 yard run on Marquise Hill's side of the line.

NO WAY Hill would have allowed that crap. Looks like we already miss his huge talent.

If my aunt had nuts she would be my uncle.

Pittman and Oliver will come around. I'm not ready to jump on this teams arse already. The only player I know of that should start this week that did not start last week is JaMarcus Russell.

yep and kyle williams made more plays than even Lavalais usually makes. Good thing Chad left. Also, CW looked pretty bad, I wish he had gone pro so someone better could have replaced him.

I mean if you're really serious....you should simply state the obvious... Matt Mauck is going to be missed more than anyone.

Mauck will be missed more than anyone. These two QBs we have now have way more raw talent, but I don't think either can lead the team just yet. Randell seems lost out there, or scared to make a mistake. While Russell has all the talent in the world, but is just too young to lead a top 5 team all by himself.

Our D had it tough Sat night. They were in horrible field position all night, yet they did get a few turnovers and seemed to contain a high scoring team. I'll admit I underestimated ORE St, I felt it should have been an easy win for us and that we would dominate the game. It was surprising to see a Pac 10 take us on so strong, hitting us right back in the mouth. SC played them last year and gave up almost 600 yards, although the score wasn't close.

All that said, I think we will be fine this year. It's going to take a while for the Offense to get up to speed, but right now I feel our defense is in good shape to take on the SEC. AU, GA, and FL all have their own problems this year,so nothing can be be decided just yet.

It's the freakin' first game, what do you want??? Do you remember the difference between the time of the first uga game and the second one the SECCG? We got better exponentially. We will be fine w/o him just like we were fine w/o Bradie James in 2003. The difference is that we need to develop some depth to maintain our speed and strength through 60 minutes at our optimum level.

"Most ominous"?     You're talking about one play to his side not an entire night of missed assignments or poor play. The play of the OL and QB was much more to be concerned about than one play to that side. :dis: :dis: :dis: :dis: :dis: :dis: :dis:

We are screwed this year. Everyone will run over us. Let's cancel every game.

    Damn, we are f-ed

Terrible analogy because Georgia peaked early last season and began to fall off late season.

As bad as this past game was, LSU won despite playing a quality oponent as their first game. Instead of playing a cupcake team first to work out any first game jitters.....

That's fair. I agree Russell gives us our best chance to win now and in the future, I just don't think he can handle it all thrown exclusively on his back. When Russell had to come out because of cramps, Randell came in and handled the job until Russell could get back in there. Nothing wrong with that. I think we will end up using both all season anyway, why tie yourself down to one guy, when you have two that compliment each other.

I'm not really taking Randell's side here, I like Russell more and feel confident he is the future of the team. If you think my opinion is bull****, then fine, but understand it's just an opinion . . . no one has a crystal ball and able to predict how the team will perform under either QB starting the rest of the way.

I see. I don't use this board year round, and just recently came back for the start of the season, so I haven't seen all the Randell/Russell debates and posts.
