Posted on Tue, Feb. 08, 2005 No, I'm just going based on things like this. Oklahoma losing Pelini to LSU BY BRIAN DAVIS The Dallas Morning News NORMAN, Okla. - (KRT) - Oklahoma secondary coach Bo Pelini will be announced as the new defensive coordinator at LSU, probably on Thursday, according to a university source.
OU fans really don't seem to care... they blame him for the way OU played in the Orange Bowl... I don't understand this because, hell, they have 3 DCs on that team with Stoops, Venables, and Pelini, but I have also heard that Pelini was the D backs coach there and it may not be his forte... I think this is a steal and I will be happy to greet him into the LSU family. Anyone think by bringing him in we may be preparing either him or Jimbo for a possible HC job if Miles bolts to Michigan? Add: wonder if our Defense will be called "Black Bandits" now :hihi:
Hopefully we will be good enough on defense that Bo gets hired way before Les even thinks about a move to Mich., I doubt seriously that would be Miles intentions, he just wants a good DC. Dunbar may end up being the one with LSU HC duties in his future. He comes very highly recommended.
Not complaining or anything, but just out of curiosity, whatever happened to Bill Clay? I had heard he was going to coach LBs under the new regime.
wasn't he a DB coach in the NFL for three years with the niners? i think he is usually a LBer coach, but he had coached DB's before this past year.
Why are we talking about LM going to Mich.? He has not even coached the first game as a Tiger yet. He may like being a Tiger so much that he would not leave for Mich. all they are, are a bunch of chock artist (past 2 Rose Bowls).
