Kinda odd that going from the Jacksonville to Tiger Stadium he would make more money and coach in front of far more fans. My money is still on Petrino though.

tirk, isn't his job with the jags pretty secure??

Why would he want to leave the pros to go back to the college game? I can't remember the last time I saw a NFL head coach quit to take a college game. Then again my excessive drug and alcohol consumption has greatly reduced my memory.

Hmmm...interesting. I never gave Del Rio serious thought but he is young and would have a great selling tool to use with recruits about paving their way to the NFL.

The only thing I wouldnt like is a USuCk grad coaching our team. I guess I could get used to it but geez...it would be a tough pill to swallow.

Let's hope that any of the coaches scheduled to interview are interested and that they just aren't meeting as a professional courtesy.

money and attendance are two factors and we know money matters to some. :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi:

they had about 30k no shows last week and they are in the playoff hunt. the damn saints often sellout when theyre 4-10.

I really have some reservations that he is serious or if this even went down. I'll say its rumor.

Al Groh just did it, what, four years ago? He was only in his first year and went 7-9, so his job was safe before he went to Virginia.
