Drunken, hostile, angry, ill-minded fans who will throw a beer bottle at you at first chance, then piss on your grandmother, whose dying of cancer. All the while, throwing a piss-soaked nerf ball at some guy who is already dead, then picking it back up and fumbling it, while bitching about how Nick Saban would be coaching the team better. All the while, Coach Miles is somewhere, somehow, calling a timeout, but not being able to spike the ball. Sound about right? Forgetting anything?
Heeeeerrrrrreeeee war chicken, war chicken, war chicken. Heeeerrrreeeee war chicken, war chicken, war chicken.
well i'm glad I read all post before I posted.........I was going to post this exact same thing :hihi:
I've gotten to the point that I really don't care anymore what other schools or fans think. I know that's terrible to say, but I would bet that half the time, some of these "fans" are only parroting what they hear on the Net and haven't been to a game in B.R. or, even worse, they come with a chip on their shoulder. The notion that LSU fans are so bad that we frighten other teams fans is a self-perpetuating vicous internet cycle. If I told you half the grief I've suffered at the hands of some of these innocent other school "fans", it would curl your hair, including an attempted rape of my sister by 5 drunken Bama frat boys. Thankfully, I and 2 other men were nearby to keep her safe until the N.O. police dragged some of them to the clink. Were they Bama fans or just jerks? Since almost all of them were wearing Bama hats, T-shirts, etc...what conclusion am I to draw??? They certainly weren't Syracuse fans :dis: I certainly don't want our fanbase to be looked at unkindly, and I know there's room for improvement on our end, but I can't stand some of these fans from other schools (esp. Bama, Barner and Dawg fans) to act like their chit doesn't stink. I've been to your schools and been treated like absolute chit also. :dis:
This bad rap for LSU has been around for years. If there is one factor that might bear any responsibility it would the later (before the awful prevalence of day games) starting time. Football at 7:00 gives fans a lot more time to party than a morning or early afternoon kickoff. Personally, I think most schools act about the same. Remember, it is usually only the diehard fans who travel to away games. They wear bright colors and act loud. The weekend is one glorified road trip reminiscent of college days, and rarely do they have small kids in tow. These are also not folks who decided an hour or two before kickoff that maybe they'll show for the game. No, they're revved up and want to see a win for all the effort its taken to follow their team. Mix these ready-for-action, but-in-the-minority fans with a few home school students or other hyped up fans, and go figure. I've seen this play out many times before. Rarely is it the quiet family minding their own business who suddenly stumbles upon an angry mob.
I guess now would be a bad time to talk about seeing two young LSU fans fighting with an old man/vandy fan in the stands this past Saturday night.
