    Underated - craig davis - this guy is going to have a phenominal season. a michael clayton type receiver who is clutch with big plays and can catch anything thrown in his general area.

    Overated - can't think of any...

    underated = suprise impact player?

    dictionary.com:

    underrated = To rate too low; underestimate.

    impact = The power of making a strong, immediate impression.

    nope not the same thing, thanks for playing though.

    oh wait, you didnt even give an answer?

    I dont think that anyone could possibly be underrated b/c you guys all have them as the best player at their positions in the country. So how can they be underrated? Justin Vincent is not necessarily overrated, but I'm thinking that it is alley's to lose right now.

    Jamarcus Russell is easily the most overrated (half of you think he is going pro next year).

    Not sure about underrated, but I think Mario Stevenson in the secondary will have a surprisingly strong year.

    I'm not sure who has been saying that. Most people on this board basically are using a "wait and see" approach with Jamarcus and what he will do...

    Also, how is USC overrated? They return a bulk of their team. For what they don't return, they easily plug with top talent. They just won the National Championship last year and most likely should have played in it against us...

    So I'm really not sure how they are overrated?

    Jamarcus is being underrated by many & overrated by a few. Most people, especially in the media, are wary of saying that Jamarcus is going to light it up this year. One poster here, can't remember who, is constantly saying that Jamarcus could go pro after this season but I think that guy is either ignorant or high. Right now, Jamarcus's season very well could end up being extraordinary - my personal opinion. But there's no denying his inconsistencies from last year so it could be a continuing problem for this season. After all of the potential that Jamarcus showed in his freshman season, (think Capital One Bowl) I think you'd have to take a negative outlook on it to think anything less than that Jamarcus will have a pretty good year.

    I'm not sure if Craig Davis has the potential to be much more than a solid WR. With so much talent surrounding him, I think it will be too easy for him to get lost on the depth chart in the comming seasns. He was very solid for us last year & had a heck of a year, one that nobody really saw comming but we'll have to see how much improvement he can make from last season.

    Justin Vincent is another player that is probably being underrated by some & overrated by others. I don't expect him back to his 03 form like some (who are overrating him) but even last year, he wasn't as bad as some make him seem & think he basically won't play at all (underrating him).

    Other than that, one of our talented players could have a letdown season & thus look overrated, but I don't know who that could be right now. Probably who ever isn't putting in the effort this off-season. If we hear reports about particular players comming in out of shape, those are the ones that could not perform to their potential.
