This is why something needs to be done about the BCS. All those MAC wins mean nothing in the grand scheme of bowls and the BCS. All those teams who lost to MAC teams will still have a chance at making a BCS bowl, while the MAC will be lucky to get a bowl close to the end of December. What the hell happened with Alabama? I know NIll won against Maryland, but to beat Alabama at home . . . that was a big win for them. Kansas St finally got what was coming to them, with their notorious easy scheduling. And Ohio St has to be the luckiest team in the nation, Bowling Green gaving them everything they could handle. All that said. Even though we had an easy opening schedule, the Tigers took care of business and played great against a fellow SEC (ranked) team. Our D is really much better than we could have imagined after those first 3 games, Georgia is a good offensive team. Which is why I feel our team is not getting enough credit for all those stops in the first half. Fowler is an ass for saying the best team didn't win Saturday, LSU outplayed Georgia . . . the better team won.
Definitely the best team won. I watched that game from beginning to end and there's no doubt LSU outplayed Georgia in every aspect. And God only knows what the hell happened to Alabama. I watched my beloved Tide wash out to sea. lol:dis:
Its tough for a first-time head coach to come in after spring practice and put it all together, especially with the probation, the bad feelings left behind by Franchione and Price, and the high expectations left behind by Bryant. Bama may lose a few this year, Darlin'. It's always embarrassing to lose to a directional school, but hell, Nick lost to a branch campus once -- UAB. Happens to everybody now and then.
