but today I am grieving for the loss of one of my LSU internet friends.

My friend Jeremy died this weekend and I am sad.

He loved LSU and all things LSU, but he also loved college football.

We would email back and forth several times a week during the season and trade emails less frequently during the off season.

Jeremy has been a regularl contributer one of the AU boards I frequent since 1996 and we had our moments of contention, but we were well in agreement that the SEC was the best damn conference in the land.

We have never met but thru his emails and posts, I feel like I knew him very well.

He was 30 years old and his death was very unexpected.

So out of respect for Jeremy, today I am am LSU fan.

Also out of respect for Jeremy, hugs your loved ones and tell them you love them.

The LSU community has lost a good one.

I feel for you, and understand what that's like. I lost a friend in a situation a lot like that...but, he was in his later years of his life. I first met him in an email exchange back when message forums like this basically didn't exist. Heck, we were all communicating on an email list-serve.

It's funny about friendships developed via email. I compare it a lot to what you'd hear my grandparents talk about when I was a kid...about how friendships can develop so very strongly be exchanging letters via snail mail.

Take care of yourself...and I assure you you'll begin to look at your friendship in only the brightest memories.

    Condolances, prayers and thoughts...

blutotiger....sorry about the loss of your friend but thanks for sharing. I too have met some friends on message boards and even got together with some in person, including a few on this board.
