In my opinion, the key to a run is going to be Antonio Hudson. Here's why. I would consider Bass, Davis, and Mitchell to be extremely consistent basketball players. They may go through short slumps, but it isn't often they don't show up. Neltner does a pretty decent job of spelling Davis, but with the exception of foul trouble or taking a breather, these are 3 guys you can't afford to take out of the game. Minor is consistently inconsistent. He's great for about the first 7 minutes of the game, then other teams adjust to his speed and break-neck style. Once teams adjust, it's time to bring in Whipple to settle the position. And I think Brady has really started to take note of this and made some good adjustments in his substitution patterns with Minor. Then you have Hudson. He basically has no backup. We don't have a suitable replacement for him and he has been known to disappear at times. So, he is the real X-factor in all of this. I think this has really been magnified of late with his outstanding play and the winning streak. If he can remain confident and keep it up, there’s no reason why we shouldn’t be able to continue playing like we have, which would mean that every game is winnable.
