Wow, what a season. A crescendo of manic highs, and frustrating lows. The drumbeat of the talking heads who seemingly either do not comprehend the concept of the BCS system or willingly ignore it, instead lobbying for a team to be number 1 with no facts to support their opinions. The whining of the elite media was truly one of the disgusting displays present this year, and IMO only parallels the cynicism and inaccuracy of the mainstream news press.

The depression has set in this morning. Reading ESPN, USAToday, and listening to the talking heads on TV, my blood pressure is at a dangerous level.

But then I did something that I think all Tiger Fans should do. I looked back at the stories of LSU's victories this year. I watched clips of previous games. I realized that my reality is the world I live in and the people I come into touch with every day. The media is not part of that life. Tiger Fans and LSU Football are. To be depressed over the circus that is occuring in Hollywood makes no sense. It doesn't change a thing.

The fact is that on Sunday, our team will do something that has never been done in my lifetime; they will take the field against a legendary team and play for the chance to hold the National Championship Trophy. They will line up against a Heisman Trophy winner, a dominating O line, and shut down Defense, and play The Greatest 60 Minutes that have ever ticked away in my life. I will be there. And when LSU takes the field, I will not be thinking about Pete Carrol. I will not be lamenting Trev Alberts. I will not remember the things Keith Jackson has said.

Do not lose focus of how important this game is. I will be watching the greatest LSU team of my lifetime, and possibly all time put their hearts, blood, sweat, and souls on the field for The Greatest 60 Minutes of LSU Football to ever be played. And I will be smiling.

Talking to Auburn and Bama fans around here this morning, it seems like they feel just the way we do. Even the local radio stations are saying how biased the big time media is. People here are looking at the Sugar Bowl as the NC Game and are not even counting the Rose Bowl. The Rose Bowl is almost already forgotten in these parts.

I'm all decked out in purple and gold today and every where I turn, people are behind us. One guy said the main reason he likes to watch LSU football is because of the fans. Where else to you get to see Batman and Elvis in the stands? Only at LSU!
