    THE GOOD
    1. Beckham and Landry continue to shine. Looking like All-American wideouts.
    2. Hill established himself as one of the top backs in the country.
    3. Offensive line opened holes for Hill and protected Mettenberger well, despite losing a starter early.
    4. Welter had 11 tackles and is finally starting to gel at linebacker.
    5. Keehn punted well, even with a wet ball. No shanked punts.
    6. Fruge almost made that first down on the fake kick.

    THE BAD
    1. The defense slacked off in the second half and let Auburn back into the game
    2. No pass rush. No sacks. Murray will eat us alive if he gets no pressure.
    3. Red zone defense. It sucks.
    4. Way too many penalties. Offensive linemen need to be able to count to "Hut 3".
    5. The weather. It was really, really wet all day.
    6. The offense went conservative WAY too early. Predictable for the first time this year.

    THE UGLY
    1. This referee crew did a horrible job. Bad calls and bad no-calls all night.
    2. Number 18 committing a personal foul.

    Pretty damn spot on.

I think our DL is pretty good. They get penetration just no sacks. The issue there though is we cant really blitz and play as aggressive as in the past because we dont have the cover CBs of the past. Our LBs are faster but not as instinctive as in the past.

Thankfully the OL is really geling, blowing up holes for the run game. The pass blocking has been there all year. As mentioned Landry and Beckham are arguably looking like the best pair of WRs weve seen in a long time, if not ever. We do need a third guy to come on though as more of a threat. Still, those guys are good enough to get open. Amazing to think LSU has a better O than D!

I would add to the Good:

Mett's performance "after" the pic. He didn't let it get him down.

Very well said. I was wondering how he would respond. He showed his maturity. Coming back with poise.

I think he knew that was just a poorly thrown ball. It wasn't a bad decision. I also liked the way he was communicating with his receivers after an incompletion. On one he was telling Odb that he needed to slant the route to the inside a little more I believe.

We need to get LSUDad to admit we got predictable on offense. But he has SabanFan syndrome regarding coaches.

I can't believe how soft we are up the middle on D. It's painful. Gonna make for a long season as we are simply going to have to put score teams.

At least the team will get to play in front of a full house next week. Too bad it won't be full of our fans.

this is pretty spot on IMO, Red. I was pleased to see Keehn punting the ball much better and the offensive line dominated Auburn's front 7 all night.

our lack of pass rush worries me the most, and I wonder if we won't see more blitz packages against Georgia because I recall only seeing a few blitzes last night.....not that we ever really needed it

getting conservative early didn't surprise me given the wet track and the big game with Georgia next week, but I hated every minute of it.

Refs were terrible. Holding call on Boone on the Landry touchdown pass was ludicrous. On the other hand, our offensive false starts are scary, especially when you consider we go to Georgia next week.

Glad to have the W and plenty for the coaching staff to work on this week

I don't know about all that, but Catniss and the guy were both declared champions. Dayum!
