I do not see how this is relevent to my argument. I am not attempting to argue the point with you because it is completely beyond the point. What measures a Christian is not important. I was careful to use words that left room for interpretation. My only point was that Both Hitler & the Founding Fathers publicly claimed to be Christians. Many of the Founding Fathers had personal journals & correspondence where they seemed to indicate that they were more of Diests than Christians. Hitler, of course, personally wrote of how he despised religion & it stood in his way, which would make him not a Christian. Whether they were in fact Christians & thus whether their actions support this view is not important to this argument. Only the fact that they personally expressed different "religions" than Christianity.

The deprevation of my soul comment has me thinking - I think I've got another thread to start.

The other thread on The Founding Fathers indicates where several of them had personal writings & quotes that make them appear as Deists. If you are curious about them, you can look up the thread - but they do exist.

Well I still don't see how you thought my argument was exactly what I was arguing against... You told me that my argument was like saying just because someone says they are a rich makes them so. Yet, my argument was against this very thought process.

Once again, irrelevent to my argument. But just for kicks, no I am not attempting to group all Christians together & do not classify the founding fathers & Hitler on the same level of Christianity.
