and on scholarship. That is great news for Tigah fans. This is the first year the NCAA has allowed schools to put May graduates in summer school on scholarship and LSU has taken advantage of it. Miles said he expects the entire class to be eligible.

Si. They said that Freshman summer enrollment was way up this year, and not just because of football players.

I'd recommend summer school to any incoming freshman. It gives you a chance to adjust a bit when things are moving a little slower. I couldn't find a job worth my time when I finished high school and with no other options, I went to summer school. Turned out to be a good move for me and all my friends who did the same. Glad they're getting those new guys started early.

I live in slidell, la and work at a restaurant directly adjacent to the train station. One morning, a sunday I believe, about two maybe three weeks ago, there was a black kid about 19-20 years old, probably 6'3" 225-240 wearing LSU football workout shorts and workout shirt, wearing high tops with big duffle bags waiting for the train to come with an older lady (assuming it was his mom).

My automatic assumption was that he was a football player but upon further review, I dont remember any LSU players from slidell... Salmen is a powerhouse here in 4a football but most of their recruits end up at toolame for some reason??? any help here guys? I dont know who it coulda been...?

Could have been a stud high school senior. There are football camps going on all over the place right now.

I just got back from spending time with Ryan, because I had freshman orientation...

He is rooming with Antonio Robinson... and let me tell you... that kid is a good guy...

Overall... no news is new news on football... Russell is #1 Perrilloux and Flynn are close #2's.

As for a post about the WR's... yeah... they are all in great shape, and all plan to play a large role...

care to bet against me that UF and UGA won't be able to say this?

i've heard a couple of rumors they are having problems with quite a few who won't be qualified.

In terms of the QB depth chart, that's about what I figured it to be this early and I think it's a safe bet that Russell starts the season opener (dispite what RP might say now, he'll be PUMPED his first night in Death Valley--no need to risk ruining his confidence by starting him in the very first game in the event that the "butterflies" get the best of him early on, and perhaps he gets discouraged because he didn't have the production he wants to have....So he'll come in once the game is underway and rolling along. Just my 2 cents.)

Watching A-Rob's highlight videos on Rivals, he was an impressive RB. Looked to be bigger than his listed height (i.e. A-Rob and RJ Jackson were listed as being the same height, but for some reason, comparing their individual film clips, A-Rob looked taller). I see A-Rob as a LaBrandon Toefield clone and RJ Jackson more like Addai and Dominic Davis. They should compliment one another real well in the years to come.
