I have thrown in the towel.
The Republicans are a disgrace, they are suppose to stand for something but don't have the guts, they have no back bone, none.
I have been scared that George Bush has destroyed the Republican party and now I believe it.
I don't see Conservatives or repubicans making a comeback, sadly they died with Reagan.
Keep in mind that now Obama can make the Supreme court extreme left of center, not only that but the re-districting happens in 2 years meaning the democrats can redraw districts to their advantages.
Between that and Acorn you won't have to worry about anyone who isn't left.
Keep in mind that Democrats were saying today, I forget the senators name from Virginia, he said that people shouldn't have the right to keep their money or something like that.
Its a matter of time until Obama and his leftist supreme court start not only taxing more but claiming immenant domain to take away people's property because they have too much wealth.
I also have to wonder if Obama was serious about destroying the coal industry, expect your power bill to go through the roof in the
    future.

I have argued with Supafan and others that the country is headed down the wrong direction morally, with that we have a decline in morality and society.
We will become more like Europe and I'm not sure who will lead the world in developments of new technology once socialized medicine hits America.

Btw, Does this mean America isn't racist?
I still think not, Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton and others will still try and make everyone pay for what our ancestors did years ago.
Another thought, the leftist media made Obama who he is, its amazing how much power they have over the country.

I think a lot of blame should go to the media, the Republican Party, and McCain himself.

A study shown that McCain got far more media coverage than any other candidate during the primaries.

The Republicans gave in and gave the nomination to a guy who wanted to complete a dream of becoming one of America's greatest war-heroes turned presidents. His nomination was a sympathy nomination, since he had lost a bitter primary to Bush in 2000.

In turn, he pussyfooted around a lot of issues concerning Obama and didn't get into them until shortly before the election, which made him look desperate. It showed the last gasps of a drowning campaign.

In the end, McCain is far from a true conservative. Maybe Obama winning in such a convincing fashion will wake up the Republicans into thinking that we must get back to our conservative roots. No more of this RINO (Republican in name only) business, and no more of this moderate garbage. It's time we move back to giving the power to the states, reducing the responsibilities of the government.

I'm actually excited not about Obama winning the presidency, but about the changes that MUST be made within the Republican Party in order to achieve success.

I believe Obama will be a terrible president, thus guaranteeing a Republican president in four years. This next candidate CANNOT be someone chosen to attract moderate/undecideds (McCain) and they cannot be someone chosen to attract only female/Clinton voters (Palin).

Again, I'm excited to see the party revert back to what it initially stood for - conservative values.

If there be any among us who would wish to dissolve this Union
or to change its republican form, let them stand undisturbed as
monuments of the safety with which error of opinion may be
tolerated, where reason is left free to combat it.

    Thomas Jefferson
    1st Inaugural, 1801.

It's time to change the form of the Republican Party itself.

I just don't see the Republicans setting themselves straight.
They are trying to be just like Democrats in everyway.
The election results tonight will probably make them believe they have to be more to the left than they are.

My life has become too difficult, I now have too many problems and not enough answers.
I didn't need to see some radical leftist win the white house, one who associates with bad people such as Ayers and a radical preacher.
Maybe I will be lucky enough not to see what tomorrow will bring.
I'd never thought I'd see a day quite like today!

    It's not worth suicide.

Carter was a liberal (and one of the worst presidents ever), and look who followed him.

All you folks talk as if we aren't finishing off one of the worst 8 year periods in presidential politics. Thanks Republicans.

Funny how the kool-aid drinkers forget that Bush entered with a recession from the Clinton policies, and that the economy was in great shape until early 07, when the Dems came into power in Congress... or that there was a war, and 9/11, or that the housing bubble burst due to policies started all the way back under Carter...

I guess you're one that believes Bush will go down as greatest president ever. The economy wasn't in great shape until early 07, there was just an illusion that everything was ok. Bush did nothing to curb enthusiasm and bring us back to reality; the Bush administration waited until the last second and then said, "Oh sh*t the whole system is about to fail." I'm not putting the current economic situation on Bush, it started way before he thought about the presidency, but once again Bush and Republicans failed the American public by ignoring reality and trying to pump sunshine. Another terrible response in the face of crisis.

But your credibility is lost to me when you try to blame democrats for the 8 years under Bush. Pull your head out of the sand, man. Republicans are just as much to blame as Democrats.

It's pretty sad that you have so little faith in this country that you think a few years of liberal policy will bring about the end of the USA. We've been through worse... in the last 8 years.
