Lol that's probably accurate. I'm not sure why the Welsh would be Elves other than the Sindarin language being loosely based on the Welsh language. Are you referring to languages and names or the actual race?

    Language, behavior, style elements.

Tolkein's Elvish is very much like Welsh, especially when spoken. And the Celtic people were always perceived by the Anglo-Saxons to be a mystical, almost magical people. Druids and Merlin and such. Very clannish and closely tied to their homeland.

Just ignore him like I did. It's obvious the dude's life is so pathetic that he gets his rocks off trying to shit on other people. My Tigerfan experience has been fun and interesting since ignoring the troll.

What did you think of the battle at Dol Goldur between Elrond, Sauruman, Galadriel and the 9? Did you see it in 3D? Even though that scene was completely fabricated I thought it was really cool.

It was a very good movie.

Up next, the Children of Hurin!

I was talking to someone and they said the Silmarillion but it's just way too broad and covers too much ground, but The Children of Hurin would absolutely work as a movie adaptation. Christopher Tolkien has to die first unfortunately, he won't let it happen.

    That may be good advice.

    Meh.

I had some issues with it. Good 3D filmography, but if a couple of aged wizards and a half Elf could beat the Nazgul in a sword fight and Galadriel could just blow them and Sauron away with a ring spell, then why did it take a huge war to do it in the next book? Where the fuck was Galadriel and her barefoot nuclear warfare? Fishing in Lorien?

The notion that Galadriel could be more powerful than two Istari seems absurd. I envisioned the Battle of Dol Guldur to be more of a highly magical wizard struggle with Sauron than an action fight with the Nine.

Gandalf finding Thrain in the Dol Guldur dungeons in the extended version of TDOS was far more interesting to me.
