Paul Finebaum and Greg McElroy just reported the same thing. Both also said they heard the Lincoln Riley to LSU was a done deal and that maybe SW was blindsided. We may never know, but I hope we do. In that case I would hope the same fate for Riley as Tom Herman after he played with us.

That was my first thought too. Hiring Brian Kelly is a fireable offense.

Isn't Kelly the 'winning-est Coach' in NCAA history though? I don't know a lot about him but he doesn't seem like a bad hire. What am I missing?

Too old

We hired Les in 2005. Bob Simmons was the coach in 2000 and was replaced by Les in 2001.

He's the only one who's actions caused a student death that is still an active coach.

hell I'm too old too then LOL. He's only 6 years older than me. They can hire me and I'll let you guys all coach the team though me. I could do that for only a few million a year. I don't need much... plenty of coffee and copenhagen... money to pay the bills and live comfortably.
